Here below are the step by step instructions on how to have the template for free printable return address labels.

1. Open your Microsoft Word application.

2. Click File button and then click New. Once done, you will see that there are available templates to choose from.

3. Look for the Labels icon then click it. The window will show various Office.com templates like case inserts, gift labels, mailing and shipping labels, media labels, office labels, product labels, stickers, tags, and other labels.

4. Select the mailing and shipping labels from the mentioned choices. Under this option, there are another three categories to choose from which are business mailing labels, holiday mailing labels, and home mailing labels.

5. Choose one on those three categories based on your intended application. For example, you click the holiday mailing labels. There are another set of choices that you need to choose like Thanksgiving return address labels, holiday address labels (with winter, peace dove and snowman designs),  Christmas mailing address labels, holiday shipping labels, Valentine’s day return address labels, Halloween return address labels, and a lot more. Just select your desired kind of template for your labels.

6. Let us say we select the New Year’s address labels template. A download button will appear in the right side bottom of your Microsoft Word window. Click this download button. The downloading process will then start.

7. Once done, a new file will be created but now with your desired template for return address labels.

8. You can now enter the pertinent information then afterwards do the printing.

How to Create Labels in Microsoft Word 2007

Before we proceed with the procedure, you will need the following:

1. Personal computer
2. Sticker paper
3. Printer

Procedure

1. Open your Microsoft Word document.
2. Go to the ‘Mailings” tab and click it. After clicking the tab, choose the “Labels” button. A new window will appear on your screen. This is the “Envelopes and Labels” window.
3. Determine what size of mailing label you are using. Typically, you are using A3 labels. In order to change it, you go to the “Options” button below of the same window then left click on it. Another small window will appear which is the “Label Options” window.
4. From here, choose the Label vendors you want like Ace Label, A-ONE, APLI, Avery A4/A5, etc. You can also choose what product number you want to use depending on the corresponding Label vendor. Label dimensions are also listed on this window. You can vary the label details by clicking the “New Label” button. You can change here the label height, width, etc.
5. In the “Envelopes and Labels” window, type the address information in the space or field provided. You can vary the font size, style, and its color depending on your requirements.
6. If you’ll need multiple labels, choose or tick from the “Print” options the “Full page of the same label” then click the “New Document” button. A new Microsoft Word document will appear with ten labels having the same information that you typed earlier in the space or field provided.
7. Print now the document for the address labels.

You now have your custom free address labels.
